OPEN POSITION: ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER (LOS ANGELES)

dsk architects was established in 2006 with a focus on education, healthcare, and commercial interiors. With 36 staff members across our offices in Oakland, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, and Los Angeles, dsk architects offers the camaraderie of a small studio with the benefits and resources of an established mid-size firm.


We’re looking for friendly, ambitious, sharp-minded designers for our office in Los Angeles, who are ready to grow professionally and share their knowledge and experience. As a member of the dsk team, you will interact with clients, conduct site visits, grow new skill sets (or polish existing ones), and see your work realized in construction – all with the support and guidance from our seasoned staff. 


Position: Architectural Designer
Location: Los Angeles, CA  
Hours: Full-time
Salary: $59,509- $60,000 Annual
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a foreign equivalent. AutoCAD and Revit Skills
Required. License is not required.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:   

  • Conduct comprehensive site surveys, analyzing site conditions, and preparing detailed survey reports to inform design decisions. 

  • Create accurate as-built models utilizing survey redlines, ensuring precise representation of existing conditions.

  • Produce construction documents for institutional clients, public entities, and commercial buildings, including detailed plans, sections, and specifications, adhering to industry standards and specifications, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

  • Design projects based on client requirements and standards, present design proposals effectively and incorporate client feedback to achieve final approval.

  • Manage submission process with city authorities including preparing and submitting drawings, responding to plan checkers comments and navigating the approval process until obtaining necessary permits.  

  • Prepare detailed drawings of architectural designs and plans for buildings and structures according to specifications and directions provided.

  • Produce accurate Revit and other documents as needed in a manner consistent with DSK standards and schedule.  

  • Assist in production of bid and construction administration documentation.

  • Assist the Project Managers/Architect in their duties and consultant coordination.
